Why wouldn't they give water?
Did any of the prisoners attempt to attack the soldiers?
How can anyone survive in such conditions?
Could humans really get this cruel?
Could this happen again, in this degree?

What makes a "good" life?

I believe a good life is when you have a good personality. A good personality meaning, where a person is honest, reliable, and caring. A good personality, where you know what is not right to do, and what is right to do. I believe if you have a good personality, you will automatically lead a good life. Why, would people lead a good life if they have a good personality? Well, if they are loving and caring to all, they are cared and loved, if they are reliable to all, they can rely on others, and most important, if they are honest, they can have people to trust. This leads to no suffering, and no regrets. Which I believe are the biggest shadows in life. I guess what I am saying, is that think before you choose a path.

Protagonist of Dragonfly pool

Pg.5" "Of course we knew she'd go away to get married,"said Hester. "But people don't get married when they're eleven years old." " This quote proves that Tally is 11. "The pointed chin, the straight fawn hair lapping her ears, the inquiring hazel eyes. Her fringe had a nibbled look-." This is on page 11, and the quote is describing how Tally looks like. Here is a quote describing her personality " Yet as she grew, her name seemed entirely suitable, for in order to wash the socks of tramps you have to get them to take their socks off, and it was the kind of determination this would need that Tally showed from a very early age." This showing her determination, and her kindness. What this quote is talking about, is her name. She was named after a saint who would wash the socks of tramps and then give them back, so this is what the quote is basically talking about. And this quote also says that Tally is kind because it is likely she would do something like that. So this is how the protagonist is in my story.

The start of the Journey

"But Tally was beyond help. She would rather have gone into a lion's den than into one of those compartments." Pg.27

This is about the beginning of Tally's journey. I believe this quote represents the starting of the journey because, this is the point where Tally's aunts and father are sending her off to Delderton, a boarding school in South Devon. She is being sent away because the people of London smell war coming towards them, for Hitler was thundering from city to city in Europe and they were next. So when Tally's father (Dr.Hamilton) cured an ill professor, the professor offered a scholarship to Delderton, and Dr.Hamilton took the chance.
Now when they finally find the right train they observe that not very descent people were hopping on to the train. They had no uniforms unlike all the schools boarding on, and they weren't in great conditions. It was not like Tally was rich but at this point of time, it seemed like learning from the nuns was better.
